Day 1
Prep
Make sure the projector works and connects to my laptop. Also print off extra copies
of the notes for those who fall behind, or need them because of their
accommodations.
Opening
Students will walk in and take their seats.Go over attendance and tell them the plan.
“So students, today’s plan is we are going to be taking notes today. Go grab your
Reference Book and lets get this started.”(5 minutes)
Body
Teacher will go over notes on the board while the students write down the notes into
their reference book..(35 minutes).
End
“Alright students its time to pack up. For those who need more time to write them
down you will have to come in on your free time to finish them. All of you have a
good day.” Students will clean around their desk then head out. (5 minutes).
Meeting students’ needs (differentiation, extensions, modifications, accommodations)
Reflection:
I think the lesson went really well. For the most part everyone finished the notes on
time without any problems. The ones who didn’t finish can just come in during their
learning lab to finish. What I would do differently would be letting students move to
spots where they can write the notes, or print off more copies of the assignment.
Standard: 1#Learner Development. The teacher understands how students learn and
develop, recognizing that patterns of learning and development vary individually within
and across the cognitive, linguistic, social, emotional, and physical areas, and designs,
and implements developmentally appropriate and challenging learning experiences.
Indicator: 1.b. Creates developmentally appropriate instruction that takes into account
individual learners’ strengths, interests and needs that enable each learner to advance
and accelerate his/her learning.
Rationale I will understand how each individual student has their own strengths
through cognitive, linguistic, social, emotional, and physical skills through learning
which will help me develop appropriate lessons.
