Hard Call listening exercise A

Read out each sentence and try to get your colleague to repeat the whole sentence back you without stopping. If your
colleague makes mistake you are to read out the whole sentence again until they repeat it back to you.

1. After listening, when a response is appropriate,


the listener should respond to the feeling of
what was said.

2. If you utilize the peace time to get better at war,


your adversaries will hesitate in waging a war on
you, and hence the time of peace will stretch.

3. Because there are no constraints placed upon


the timing of the volunteer's activities in such a
time-free environment, these are called free-
running experiments and the rhythms measured
during them are known as free-running rhythms.
