EVENT PROPOSAL

Credit Union Day

For 74 years, credit unions worldwide have been celebrating International Credit Union (ICU)
Day. This day recognizes the spirit of the global credit union movement, its history,
achievements, contribution and impact made through a shared vision of working together for the
betterment of all members. This year, like many years past, the movement, as a united force,
intends to raise awareness of the incredible work that credit unions and other financial
cooperatives worldwide do. It is also an opportunity for members to get involved. The day of
festivities for credit unions and financial cooperatives globally includes fundraisers, open houses,
contests, picnics, volunteering and parades.

The World Council of Credit Unions announced the theme for this year: "Empower Your
Financial Future with a Credit Union". Keeping with this team, Luminus Financial will host a
series of events that engage our membership and highlight the spirit of cooperatives.

This proposal seeks to outline plans for a day of empowerment of our membership. This will also
serve as the beginning of a new era of member engagement within Luminus Financial. Due to
the COVID-19 pandemic, we have not had the opportunity to connect with our members in a
personal way. This day of events will allow us to reconnect with our members as we continue to
build our members' relations.
 Luminus Credit Union Day Schedule

9:00AM to 11:00AM Luminus Tea and Talk

Members are invited to visit our branches for brunch. Members

will be treated to tea and finger food. The aim is to bring members
into the branches where they can have an opportunity to meet with
staff members and learn about what their credit union is doing for
them. All staff members would be involved in this event. Every
member entering the branch will be greeted at the door and have an
opportunity to sit and talk to a staff member about their financial
need. This is an ideal opportunity for staff to share our products
and services and act as financial advisors to the members. In
keeping with the theme for this year is: “Empower Your Financial
Future with a Credit Union”, staff members’ aim is not to sell
products and services, but to listen to the members, understand
their needs and advise them on what Luminus can do to meet those
needs. This is the ideal opportunity for us to get the members to
understand that Luminus is here to serve them and advise them
every step of the way.

Target - The general membership

5:00PM to 8:00PM Business Networking Event

We intend to connect with all our members, including our business

account members. Luminus with host a business networking
evening for all our business account members. This is our way of
empowering our business account members by connecting them to
other entrepreneurs where they would have an opportunity to
share, learn, and grow together. This is also an opportunity for staff
to interact with our business members and share our products and
services to help them grow their businesses. All registered
participants will be allowed to bring one guest. This gives us an
excellent opportunity to make their guess members. The event will
include soft classical music playing in the background, wine and
cheese, and finger food. All guests will be given a token of our
appreciation, including a package of the various products targeting
business account holders.

Members Enrichment Programme

Luminus will launch its Members enrichment programme, which will be design to encourage the
training and development of our membership. This programme will feature workshops, seminars,
and other events to keep members engaged and also to allow them to learn about financial
literacy, money management, investing, well preparation, budgeting, business planning, and so
much more. Luminus will host an event, virtually or in the office, every quarter, where we invite
facilitators to educate our members on various financial topics.
