1. Download and install the tracker driver
Please install the tracker driver before starting to use the configuration tool.

2. Connect the tracker to the computer


2.1 TLW1 series
Use an adaptor/power supply to power on the tracker. Remove the TLW1 series
tracker cover, then put it into the configuration jig. Connect the jig to the computer
through the USB cable. The jig (TA33) and power adaptor are optional accessories.

2.2 TLD1 series


Use an external adaptor/power supply to power on the tracker. Then use a micro USB
cable (ordinary cellphone cable) connect the tracker to the computer. The power
adaptor is an optional accessory.

2.3 TLP1 series
Use the magnetic USB cable connect the tracker to the computer. This USB cable is a
standard accessory.

3. Configure the tracker


3.1 Run the program

The USB serial ports section only shows the necessary com ports in default. If customer
want to see show all ports, please check “All ports”.

The program will recognize the tracker model name and enable corresponding page
buttons (Status, Network, Advance, OBDII, I/O, Alerts, Console). However, the Status,
Network and Console will be always enabled once the com port is successful opened.

3.2 Choose a com port then click open

3.3 Status

This page shows the read only information from device. The information may vary based on
different models. If customer wants to update the status information:

(1) If you are at this page, please click one more time on the Status button.

(2) If you are at another page, please click the status button to shift back to Status
page, then one more click on the Status button to get the latest information.

3.4 Network

The section details may vary based on different models.

3.4.1 RAN Setting


Customer can choose preferred network, scan sequence and configure the
apn settings in this section.

3.4.2 Protocol
Set the device protocol, TCP/UDP/MQTT(available in next version soon)
(1) MQTT
MQTT will use a new data server setting. When customer select MQTT,
new ip and port have to be set. Then the tracker will report to the MQTT
server.

3.4.3 Online-config Server
If customer has their own Online-config Server, they can enable this section
and input the server information.

3.4.4 Primary Server


The primary server which the device data goes to.

3.4.5 Secondary Server


The secondary server which the device data goes to.

3.4.6 Data Acquisition


The device uploading policy

3.4.7 Heartbeat
Keep alive packet sending interval

3.4.8 Protocol Messages


(1) Enable/disable one type of protocol message
(2) Enable/disable the ACK of specific type of protocol message. If customer
checked ACK for one type of protocol message, server must give
response (ACK) to the message. Otherwise the device will repeat sending
the same message to server until get the correct response.

3.4.9 Pull current network configuration from device

to Network page, then one more click on the Network button to get the
latest information.

3.5 Advance

3.5.1 LEDs always on


Enable/disable the LED lights always on.
(Default the lights will go off after the tracker power on 5 mins)

3.5.2 Towing alarm


Enable/disable/configure the towing alarm.

3.5.3 Sleep mode


Configure the device sleep mode.
(Default is GPS+Modem)

3.5.4 Bluetooth
Enable/disable the Bluetooth of the device. The device Bluetooth name also
can be changed here.

3.5.5 Vibration
Configure the vibration alarm

3.5.6 Jammer Alarm


Configure the Jammer alarm

3.5.7 Driving Behavior via GNSS


Configure/Enable the driving behavior via GNSS. Default setting values will
be used when customer enable the function. Customer can adjust according
to the actual situation.

3.5.8 Driving Behavior via Accelerometer


Configure/Enable the driving behavior via accelerometer. Default setting
values will be used when customer enable the function. Customer can adjust
the values according to actual situation.

Note:
Please use INSTALLED command to calibrate the tracker accelerometer. The
calibration instructions can be found in the tracker command list.

3.5.9 Pull current advance configuration from device


(1) If you are at this page, please click one more time on the Advance button
(2) If you are at another page, please click the Advance button to shift back
to Advance page, then one more click on the Advance button to get the
latest information.

3.6 OBDII

This page is only available for TLD1-DA/DE

3.6.1 Vehicle Brand


Enable the reading odometer function by setting the vehicle brand.

3.6.2 Accumulating Fuel Consumption


Calibrate the accumulating fuel consumption value.

3.6.3 Accumulating Mileage


Calibrate the accumulating mileage value.

3.6.4 Report VIN when ignition on


Enable the report VIN function by checking it.

3.6.5 Others
Only when the tracker is connected to a vehicle with ignition on, the vehicle
dashboard information will be shown.
3.7 I/O

3.7.1 Connectors
Please refer the tracker user manual to get further information

3.7.2 Relay Mode


(1) Safe mode: when tracker received command "relay,0000,1#", the device
will check GNSS status and the speed before executing the command.
When the speed is <20KM/h and GNSS fixed, device will execute the
command immediately. Otherwise the device will hold the command until
all conditions are met, then execute. This is in order to keep the driver
safe. This is the device default relay mode.
(2) Panic mode: when tracker received command "relay,0000,1#", the device
will not check GNSS status and the speed. The command will be executed
immediately.
(3) Pulse mode: when tracker received command "relay,0000,1#", the device
will enable relay for 2s then disable relay for 2 seconds until received
"relay,0000,0#"
(4) Timer mode: customer can set a time period(X), when tracker received
command "relay,0000,1#", the device will enable relay for X seconds then
recover.

3.7.3 Pull current I/O configuration from device

(2) If you are at another page, please click the I/O button to shift back to I/O
page, then one more click on the I/O button to get the latest information.

3.8 Alerts

This page is only for TLP1 series products. The alerts will be enabled by checking it. Customer
can adjust the detail alert settings by click the side button.

3.9 Console

If the setting doesn’t show in the configuration page (Network, Advance, OBDII, I/O, Alerts),
customer can use command to configure device in the console. Any command (supported by
tracker) can be sent in the console.

3.10 Load from File


Load the setting values from an existing configuration file. Please make sure the
model name in the configuration file is the same as the model connected.

3.11 Save to File


Save current setting values to a configuration file.

3.12 Load from Device


Pull setting values from device.

3.13 Save to Device


Save current setting values to the device.

3.14 Batch Write


This is used to configure multiple device one by one.

(1) Connect the first device to computer, then open the program

(2) Open the com port

(3) Load a configuration file

(4) After the program says the file is imported, click either of below button

(button availability depends on the model connected)

(5) Check “Batch Write”

(6) Click “Save to Device”. Then the program will start to write.

(7) When the program shows below, please power on another device then connect
it to the computer

4. Known issue
When the program stuck or crash, please close the program then open it again. Then
disconnect and re-connect the device again as well. We’ll keep optimizing the program.
