HOW WE ONCE LIVED

We all lived
As peaceful people
In a world
Where harmony and unity
Existed between communities

We all had
A crime deficient territory
Where negative behavior
Was greatly detested and abhorred
An enemy of all

Law and order

Had a place in the society
The culture of the people
Still had an echoing voice
In the ears of the people
Wherever they went
It always rang a bell in their ears
Reminding them of home
And the people whom they represented
The children of whom they were

The night
Was always entertaining
Sitting on mat
With the cool gentle breeze
With the moon and star shining on their faces
Telling moonlight stories

This is how we once lived

Conducting several ceremonies
Not rashly
But following various processes
With one coming before the other
The life we once had
And the world in which we once lived
Was one
Culture was supreme
And peace, the order of the day
