mother tongue and the need for a nation's love for it. It is a symbol of freedom and identity,
and should not be seen as substandard to others. Moreover, Multiperspectivity is the way of
looking at historical events, personalities, developments, cultures, and societies from
different perspectives. Historical writing is biased and partial, and historians may omit facts
or impose an ideology. Understanding history is important to determine whether a given
history is factual or not, as each person has different perspectives. Furthermore,
Multiperspectivity and the "Sa Aking mga Kabata" poem by Dr. Jose Rizal emphasize the
importance of our own language and dialect for our country's development.

Geoffrey Barraclough defines history as “the attempt to discover, on the basis of fragmentary

example, through learning and experience, Filipino culture teaches children about the past.

light Philippine history and culture. The Code is believed to have been created to encourage
justice and respect for human dignity, while the poem is seen as an appeal to young people to
be proud of their cultural heritage and work for a better future for the Philippines. Jose Rizal
wrote the poem when he was eight, which has been interpreted in several ways, with some
academics claiming it reflects his love for his country and his devotion to social justice, while
others regard it as a display of national pride.
