Key Players in Crime Solution under the New Normal

Under the New Normal brought about by the COVID-19 pandemic, several
personalities, owing to the nature of their tasks during these times, have displayed
capabilities which could be exploited to aid the law enforcement in the solution of
crimes.

Among them, however, the key players who stand out the most, who are most
likely to deliver, or gather vital information which could be crucial in crime solution
are the Contact Tracers.

Undeniably, the Contact Tracers are the only persons who have the capability
to penetrate communities, and even households without the risk of getting “burned”.
With some orientation from the investigation officers, the Contact Tracers may be
able to gather enough information from the communities, information which the
communities willingly but unwittingly provide, information which may be very
significant leads to the solution of a case being investigated.

Considering that police assets could only gather information clandestinely and
are almost always predisposed to suspicion, the Contact Tracers could perform the
same tasks openly, with the least suspicion.
