Description of a person
Dear Lia,

How are you? Just dropping you a line to tell you how I’m getting on in this new city, I
present to you one of my neighbors. His name is Paul and he’s spectacular.

Paul is tall and very slim, with long brown hair and also some freckles in his little
nose. He’s got a pale complexion and tiny green eyes. He usually wears trainers and
jeans. He looks casually.

He is a very handsome person, he was the first to help me get to know the city, also
he is very kind and sociable. My mum and Paul are very friends! Every Friday Paul
comes to have dinner with my family! We love spending time with him.

I’m really glad I’ve met Paul. Wish I had known him before… Write back soon!

Love,
Laia
HOW TO AVOID DEFORESTATION
Purpose
The aim of this report is to make suggestions on how we can avoid deforestation. It will
recommend some solutions that can be adopted to stop it.

Eat less meat

To begin with, a useful suggestion is eating less meat helps stop deforestation. Without meat
and dairy consumption, global farmland use could be reduced by over 75%.

Use recycled products

By choosing items made from recycled paper, you make a conscious effort to lower the
demand for more timber.
Besides decreasing the need to cut more trees, your purchase is also supporting paper
recycling facilities and reducing the amount of waste entering landfills.

Raise awareness
A final suggestion is educating people about the effects of their actions, such as palm oil
consumption, the amount of deforestation can be reduced. Better awareness and education
is important even in the case of farmers.

Conclusion
To sum up, by eating less meat, using recycled products and raising awareness, we can
reduce deforestation and have a world free of dust particles and air pollutants.
WALKING ON CLOUDS
Once upon a time, there was a very beautiful goddess , she was also young and very
intelligent. Her name was Venus. She lived in a small village called Morkins next to a very
large cliff. Their father was the carpenter of the village, and they didn’t have great resources
to be able to live completely well. And her brother still went to school and when he could he
helped his father.

She had a very clear dream, she wanted to walk above the clouds that could be seen from
the cliff. From this, there were spectacular views and at the same time perfect to disconnect
for a while from the harsh reality in which she lived. Her mother died because someone
pushed her off that cliff, and she died in the dry. That's why her father didn't want her to go to
that dangerous mountain very often.
She often researched and sought information to fulfill her dream and almost everyone knew
her desire. One summer day, cloudy and warm, a mysterious letter arrived at her house. The
letter said:

'Dear Venus, I'm Jack Volemor, director of the Cardiff School of Magic. By external evus,
your desire to walk above the clouds has come to us, and you have found the exact place to
make it come true. Also the price will be completely free. We look forward to seeing you at
our school next Monday. '
Jack

At that precise moment Venus could not believe what she was reading and very happily she
went to tell her father. He was happy with what he had just seen, and he agreed to let his
daughter go to Cardiff.
The rest of the summer and a few more months were spent in that school. And finally when
the course was over she went home. There they studied what potions had to be taken to do
magic, how to make things disappear, how to be invisible ... And many more things.

When she was in Morkins, she wanted to try everything she had learned during that time at
school and one day she went to the cliff to see if it was true that after taking a magic potion
she could walk on it. She was totally surprised to see that it was possible, a famous phrase
from Venus is: 'Dreams come true'.
Laia’s Blog
Hi everyone, bloggers! These days I v-have been in Dublin with my family, and we also
visited my grandparents! This city is spectacular.

The first day, we went to have lunch in a famous restaurant called Ireland time. The food
was delicious and also the Chef was polite and generous, because he made us a discount of
10euros!

The second day we visited St.Patrick's Cathedral which is very big and ancient from the 14th
Century. We also went by a tourist bus to see the city.

Finally the last day we went by train to a little village near Dublin called Killarney, to see our
grandparents. And I lost my luggage!.

In conclusion, I love this city and the people too. They are very sociable. I’m sure I will visit
again!
VIETNAM
This poem is short and also intense and painful, because we can see how many civilians
suffered in the war. But also it has a fantastic ability to speak directly to the reader as
simplicity

It talks about the Vietnam War, is the conflict between the Democratic Republic of Vietnam
and the National Liberation Front of Vietnam, and the United
States of America and the dictatorial regime of Vietnam. South
Vietnam, which took place between 1954 and 1975.

What is astonishing about the poem is its timeless relevance

and who have been outraged by the way people have been
manipulated into a blinkered acceptance of hypocrisy and
carnage.

We can also see how the protagonist is a man who suffered

the war and the consequences it had.
A phrase he repeats is from his legs, we can even interpret that they threw a bomb or
something similar and for that reason he was left without legs. He also says that he does not
tell lies, but that everything is true because it can be seen reflected in him.
