we lvere notified that there are marketing materials circulating that promote training seNices
provided by a company called Dux Regulus, which falsely claims to be afiitiated with the
Department of the lnterior and Local Govemment and Local Govemment Academy, bearing
the name "DILG-LGA'and "Accredited Local Research lnstitule,,.

The LGA vrould like to stress that there is No AFFILIATIoN between Dux Regulus and LGA
or the DILG. we want to emphasize that the official logo and name of DILG and LGA should
only_be usld according to the branding guidelines and with the approval or written consent
of
the DILG secretary and LGA Executive Director. Any unauthorized use of the logo and name
is strictly prohibited.

As reference, the DILG Memorandum circular 200&.0s6, or the Adoption of a l.{ew

programs
Accreditation system for Training of Local Govemment units, states that:

"4il LGUS are likewise encoungcd to avail of tnining prognms ofiered by the
LoGoTRl-Ph Net tnining institutions. The tnining prqgram siourd be based on he

ln addition, training programs that have been properly accrediled by LocoTRl-philNet will
remain valid until the expiration date specified in the certificate of Accreditation. Hovrrever, the
last accreditation given by the LocorRl-philNet to a number ot its members was in 2019 and
has long been in hiatus to give way to a review of its accreditation system.

vvhile the online capacity Development system (ocDMS) initia y invited LRts to enro in the
system to ofier their services to LGus, the system has not been officialty re-launched as it has
been subiected to enhancemenl to consider the addilional role given to LGA under Eo 13g in
support of full devolution. Moreover, the ocDMs is not an accreditation system, and any
party seeking to be associated with the system must first obtain approval from LGA. The
system is cunently in its beta version and will be rolled out soon pending the policy for its
operationalization.
