Internship Structure:

In total, internees will be required to work in the following departments


of financial control group:
1. Pension and Benevolent Funds (2 weeks)
Internees will work in the fund department and collaborate with fund
manager in digitalizing manual records of funds which are collected
from different branches all over Pakistan and then internees will learn
the method of reconciliation which is used to reconcile these records
with headquarters’ record.
2. Taxation (2 weeks)
Managing a business requires paying expenses, and the fund office is in
charge of handling check concerns. This includes establishing excellent
business relationships with the government by forwarding PAYE (Pay as
You Earn) to the appropriate expert and ensuring that evaluation tasks
are carried out within the bounds of the surrounding arrangements.
Internees will have rigorous training in the taxation department during
the internship. They will learn how the taxation portion of balance
sheet is generated. Moreover, digital posting of tax records in the
database of FBR will also be part of this training.
4. ICFR wing (2 week)
Internal Controls for Financial Reporting (ICFR) wing is responsible for
generating the internal controls for the bank and analyzing them
throughout. Internees will work in this department to understand the
framework thoroughly and understand how internal controls are
developed.
5. Budgeting (2 weeks)
Budgeted preparation is an important part of the finance division.
Internees will join the budget team and collaborate in making budget
compliance reports under the guidance of professionals. Internees will
also be taught the entire process of budget preparation to budget
approval during their rotation with the budget department.

Certification:
There will be a final presentation by every intern in front of the Finance
Division’s Group Chief. In this presentation, interns will present their
learnings from the program. Following this, an award ceremony will be
held for all the interns where they will get their certificate and stipend
cheques. The best intern will get a shield from the bank’s financial
control group chief.

Exposure:
During the entire internship program, internees will meet different
professionals of different departments and will have a chance of
learning and networking with them. This includes the AVPs, SVPs, Wing
Heads and Group Chiefs. For this internship program, students from
different institutes will be hired. Therefore, cross-institutional networks
will also be developed amongst the internees during the internship
program.
