Concept statement
I have designed a floor plan for the ERHS office in a way the chilent would be satisfied with. The client
wants the space to be more functional and open than what it already is and make the students from ERHS
feel comfortable to be in there when they come to visit. They also want to get rid of some things, so the
first thing that would be thrown away is the big seating area that students use. The counter that is on the
wall with the windows will be moved up to the door that connects the office to another room. Behind that
counter there will be a seating area for students, there will be a thin rug so there won’t be any tripping
incidents and on top of that there will be a table and a few chairs for students to sit at during the morning
or anytime they come into the office. There will also be a floor lamp in the corner so students will have
more light if the window shades are closed. To the right they want to keep their closet cabinet so we won't
touch that and leave it in its spot. Next we will have a couch for parents so they will wait for their child or
children. By that desk we will keep the tarty computer in the same spot, so students can sign in to school if
they are a little late. The secretary will get a new dest and it will be able to function to where she can stand
up sometimes and sit down, because the client explained she likes that idea of a stand up desk. Her desk
would be shifted to be facing across the counter that I would move next to the door to easter the next
room. Behind her desk we will keep the table that students of the school have made, under that we would
have little cubbies so they can store stuff in there. There would also be new shelving and artwork behind
her desk and on the other walls to make the room more presentable.
