Khi những câu phát biểu/ mệnh lệnh được tường thuật với các động từ sau, ta sử dụng to-
V0 kèm theo:
a/. V + to-V0

Ex: - “OK. I’ll give you a lift”, said John.
→ John agreed to give me a lift.
b/. V + O + to-V0

II/. Gerund
Khi những câu phát biểu được tường thuật với các động từ sau, ta sử dụng V-ing kèm
theo
a/. V + V-ing

Ex: - “I didn’t take your money”, said Jimmy.
→ Jimmy denied taking my money.
b/. V + prep. + V-ing
