 SO SÁNH HƠN VÀ HƠN NHẤT CỦA TÍNH TỪ DÀI
I. Thế nào là tính từ dài:
Tính từ dài là tính từ mà khi phát âm ra có từ 2 âm tiết trở lên.
VD: expensive (đắt), interesting (thú vị), frightening (sợ hãi), wonderful (tuyệt vời), careful
(cẩn thận), enjoyable (thú vị), beautiful, confident (tự tin), entertaining (thú vị), comfortable
(thoải mái) uncomfortable (không thoải mái), disappointed (thất vọng), modern (hiện đại),
careless (cẩu thả), important (quan trọng).
II. Cách thành lập so sánh hơn và hơn nhất của tính từ dài:
Đối với các tính từ dài thì so sánh hơn thì ta dùng MORE đứng trước tính từ và phải có THAN
sau tính từ dài:
MORE + TÍNH TỪ DÀI + THAN
VD1: The blue book is more expensive than the red one.
VD2: This house is more modern than that house.
VD3: His house is more modern than hers.
VD4: John is more intelligent than Peter.
Đối với so sánh hơn nhất của tính từ dài thì ta phải dùng THE MOST đằng trước tính từ.
