Lucky Cement is one of the largest producers and leading exporters of quality cement in
Pakistan and is listed on the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX). The company has also
issued Global Depository Receipts (GDRs), listed and traded on the Professional
Securities Market of the London Stock Exchange.
Over the years, the Company has grown substantially and is expanding its business
operations with production facilities at strategic locations in Karachi to cater to the
Southern regions and Pezu, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to furnish the Northern areas of the
country. Lucky Cement is Pakistan’s first company to export sizeable quantities of loose
cement being the only cement manufacturer to have its own loading and storage
terminal at Karachi Port.
Lucky Cement strives to remain an efficient and low cost producer and is one of the
pioneers to introduce and install Waste Heat Recovery and Refuse Derived Fuel (RDF)
and Tyre Derived Fuel (TDF) Plants in Pakistan. It also has self-sufficient Captive power
generation facility of 180 MW and supplies additionally generated electricity to support
the National grid. Lucky Cement owns a fleet of Bulkers & Trailers, which gives added
advantage in terms of logistics and efficient deliveries to all types of customers spread
across the length and breadth of the country.
Membership
The PICG undertakes activities geared towards achieving good corporate governance
and creating an enabling environment for implementation of the Code of Corporate
Governance effectively. PICG is focused on encouraging professional interaction
between members and enhance competitiveness of local corporations.
The CSR Association of Pakistan promotes CSR principles and practices to businesses
in Pakistan to makes companies more innovative, productive, and competitive.
APCMA is the apex body of the cement manufacturers of Pakistan. It is registered body
under section 3 of the Trade Organization Ordinance 2007 wide license no 14, dated
April 26, 2008 issued by Ministry of Commence. It was incorporated on14th of
September 1992 under section 32 of the Companies Ordinance 1984.
The Karachi Chamber of Commerce & Industry enjoys singular distinction of being the
premier Chamber of Pakistan, representing the mainstream of economic activities by
virtue of its location in the industrial and commercial hub of the country. It was
established in 1959 through the amalgamation of four trade bodies in Karachi at that
time, namely, the Pakistan Merchants Association, Buyers and Shipper Chamber of
Commerce Pakistan and All Pakistan Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Their vision
is to improve the business environment and economic well-being of Pakistan, specially
the Karachi city, by providing value to members and becoming the most respected and
relevant voice of the business community.
The Management Association of Pakistan, was formed in 1964 to meet the impending
demand for managerial talent within the country, consequent to the rapid increase in
industrialization. The Association is a non-political and non-profit organization. It has
been registered by guarantee with its registered office in Karachi since 1967. A Lahore
Chapter has recently started working as well.
MAP has about 250 institutional and more than 495 individual members. MAP’s
Institutional members contribute a significant portion of Pakistan’s GDP. MAP’s
mandate is to further management thought, practice and advocacy.
Marketing Association of Pakistan (MAP) was founded in the year 1967 as a prestigious
forum for the professional marketers. Besides individual members, almost every large
multi-national and national organization has a MAP membership. The Association also
has it Chapter in Lahore. MAP has about 1,000 individual and 100 institutional
members. This Association enjoys patronage from the Government of Pakistan and is
represented on the Advisory Council of the Ministry of Commerce.

Ordinary Portland Cement (OPC)
We offer Ordinary Portland Cement (OPC) that is used in all general constructions,
especially in major and prestigious projects where cement is needed to meet stringent
quality requirements. It can also be used in concrete mortars and grouts, etc. Ordinary
Portland Cement is compatible/consumable with admixture/ retarders, etc.
OPC has easy workability and lower heat of hydration. We maintain our technical
standard of quality parameter at high level and with high strength at all ages. Our OPC
cement satisfies EN 196 / 197 – 1, SABS, BIS, SLSI & PSS – 232 ~ 1983 (R).

Clinker
We also offer clinker to the customers with their own grinding units. Clinker can be
easily handled by ordinary mineral handling equipment and can be stored for several
months without compromising on the quality. Clinker is the primary product in the
cement manufacturing process where limestone, clay and sand are grinded and heated,
before the gypsum is added to produce the final product of cement..

Lucky Cement Limited (LCL) (Urdu: )لکی سیم ٹ لمی ٹ ڈis the largest[2] cement producer in Pakistan. Its
shares are traded on the Pakistan Stock Exchange, and are part of the KSE 100 Index. The
company's highest share price was PKR 1043.50, in May 2017 [3][4] Lucky Cement is a part of one of
the largest business groups in Pakistan, the Yunus Brothers Group. [5]
Lucky Cement Limited recorded its highest ever profit after tax of Rs 13.69 billion for the year ending
30 June 2017.[6]

Lucky Cement Limited (LCL) was founded in 1993 by Abdul Razzak Tabba. The company started
with factories in the Pezu located in Lakki Marwat District of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Province. It
now, also, owns a factory in Nooriabad, Jamshoro.[1]
LCL is the largest producer and exporter of cement and clinker in Pakistan. The company has 15.3
million tonnes per annum of manufacturing capacity.[7] The company is listed on the Pakistan Stock
Exchange and London Stock Exchange.
Over the years, the company has grown substantially and is expanding its business operations with
production facilities at strategic locations in Jamshoro District, Sindh and two field plants at Karachi
on Super Highway to cater to the Southern regions,[1] Pezu and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to furnish the
Northern areas of the country. LCL has a network of over 200 dealers which enables it to dominate
the local market and is Pakistan's first company to export sizeable quantities of loose cement being
the only cement manufacturer to have its own loading and storage terminal at Karachi Port.
LCL has been sponsored by one of the largest business groups in Pakistan, the Yunus Brothers
Group, one of the largest textile export house of Pakistan, based in Karachi. [1]
Products[edit]
In 2017, the company was producing Ordinary Portland Cement, Sulphate Resistant Cement, Block
Cement and Clinker and had about an 18 percent share of the Pakistani cement market. [2][8]
Power Generation[edit]
The company is producing enough electricity to not only fulfill its own requirements but has also
started supplying electricity to Hyderabad Electric Supply Company (HESCO).[9] and is now in the
process of providing electricity to Peshawar Electric Power Company.
Geared to sustainable growth, The YB Group has diversified into the power generation sector by
investing into Lucky Electric Power Company Limited (LEPCL). The company is a wholly owned
subsidiary of LCL Holding Limited making it an indirect subsidiary of Lucky Cement Limited. Being
the largest importer of coal, Lucky Cement Limited's decision of investing in 660MW coal-based
power project in Karachi will create synergy amongst its existing diversified business portfolio.
In July 2020, K-Electric Limited (Karachi) and Lucky Cement signed an agreement whereby K-
Electric would buy up to 6 megawatt (MW) of electricity from Lucky Cement to be supplied to DHA
City, Karachi being developed along Superhighway.[10]
Alternate Fuel[edit]
Lucky Cement has shifted its focus to alternate fuel such as TDF and RDF.[11]
Sustainability Reporting[edit]
In 2012, Lucky Cement was the only company in Pakistan to receive an A+ rating by Global
Reporting Initiative (GRI) of Netherlands, for its Sustainability Report for 2012.[12]
In 2019, Lucky Cement again won a second position in the cement category in the "Best Corporate
& Sustainability Report Awards 2019" awarded by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of
Pakistan (ICAP) and the Institute of Cost and Management Accountants of Pakistan (ICMAP).[13]
