Do you know where the first motor flight took place in Asia?

This happened in
Yoyogi park in nineteen ten by the captain Yoshitoshi Tokugawa, yes, very
surprising, but it isn’t the only historical event that happened in Yoyogi Park.

For the Second World War, Yoyogi Park served to house the American
soldiers of the United States Air Force. Then the United States returned that
territory to Japan.

As appear on the website of international olympic committe, In nineteen sixty

four, Tokyo organized the olympic games, for that reason, 2 years earlier they
built the yoyogi national gym, because it was to be used as an Olympic village
for athletes. In that gym the sports of swimming, basketball and jumping were
performed. Since nineteen sixty seven, the yoyogi park has been open to the
public.

Currently, Yoyogi Park is considered a tourist place, being one of the largest
parks in Tokyo. In this we can find the meiji sanctyary that was rebuilt in
nineteen fifty eight because it was destroyed in the second world war. This
sanctuary, located in Shibuya, is a Shinto sanctuary dedicated to the deified
spirits of Emperor Meiji and his wife, Empress Shōken. This emperor
belonged to the last shogunate of Japan, for that reason he is an important
figure for the Japanese.

Also in Yoyogi park, there are many shows and festivals, one of the most
attractive dances are from the rockabillys which dance and seduce the
hundreds of visitors who watch in amazement at each movement. Leather
jackets, worn boots and architectural toupees define this urban tribe.

As Scott Littleton said in his article, The “Yoyogi scene” has become a major
tourist attraction, not only for local people, but also for foreigners, who love to
watch these shows.

In conclusion, Yoyogi park is more than just a park, it's the living history of
Japan. It is a place where young Japanese can demonstrate their art and
visitors can learn about Japanese culture and their history. If you have the
opportunity to go to yoyogi park one day, do it, you won’t be disappointed
