ACTION RESEARCH PROPOSAL

I- Problem Description

I handle a multi-grade class with a total of fifteen (15) pupils. Nine (9) of
them are Grade-5 pupils and the remaining six (6) are Grade-6 pupils. During
the teaching-learning process, I have observed that three (3) of my pupils are
still behind the reading skills expected from Grade-5 and Grade-6 pupils. I
found out that they don’t have interest in reading and lack of support from
their parents.

II- Proposed Intervention

Upon knowing the problem of my pupils, I was able to organize an idea


wherein I called it “Project PARI”. PARI stands for PARENTS ASSISTANCE in
READING INTERVENTION.

Project PARI is a reading remediation to be conducted by their respective


parents. It will be a 10-minute daily session between 7:50 to 8:00 P.M. It aims
to help the teacher in teaching their children to read.
