As a second subject teacher in the afternoon, I encountered a new problem with my

students. After the first subject teacher finished teaching, the students seemed disengaged
and distracted during my class. They were walking around, playing, and talking with one
another, making it difficult for me to get their attention and engage them in the lesson.

Insights

I realized that I had made a mistake in forgetting to start the class with a prayer. Starting
with a prayer is not only important for giving thanks to God, but it also helps to unify the
group and create a perfect transition for the second subject. By starting with a prayer, I
could get their attention and set the tone for the rest of the lesson.
I quickly made the decision to correct my mistake and start the class with a prayer. As I
began to pray, I noticed that the students began to settle down and become more focused
on the lesson. They were no longer walking around or playing, but instead, they were
paying attention to what I was saying. As the lesson progressed, I found that the students
were more engaged and attentive to the material. They participated in class discussions,
asked questions, and showed a genuine interest in the lesson. I realized that by starting
with a prayer, I had not only set the tone for the lesson, but I had also created a sense of
unity and respect in the classroom. In conclusion, starting with a prayer is a simple but
effective way to create a positive and focused learning environment. By acknowledging the
importance of prayer and taking the time to start each lesson with a prayer, teachers can
set a positive tone for the rest of the class and engage students in the learning process.
