ASSIGNMENT 5:

MONEY

FOOD

SHELTER

CLOTHES

Our lives are full of problems. In order to continue living, there are fundamental requirements that
we all have, such as food, money, shelter, and clothing. Those needs do not discriminate based on
gender identity; we all need those things regardless of whether we are a boy or a girl. Gender roles
are the duties or behaviors that people learn as suitable to their gender, as established by societal
conventions. For example, because I am a boy, the society or individuals around you expect you to
act and think like a boy when it comes to our basic needs for survival, such as clothes. We need to
wear based on our gender; if you are a boy, the style must be masculine; if you are a girl, the style
must be feminine. Our role in society now defies stereotypes; we are now tolerating different genders
in their duties, such as many women performing manly things and many men doing feminine things;
this is now normal, and we must respect each other's choices in life.
