SF: EPP - Food Product Proposal

1.Identify a product idea: Choose a food product that you are interested in developing. Consider
the market demand, feasibility of production, and the availability of ingredients.
2. Conduct a feasibility study: Research the viability of your product. Gather information on the
target market, competition, and production costs.
3. Develop a product concept: Create a product concept that clearly defines the unique features
and benefits of your product. Consider how it meets a specific consumer need or market demand.
4. Determine the recipe and ingredients: Develop a recipe that highlights the taste, flavor, and
nutritional value of your product. Identify the ingredients needed and ensure that they are readily
available.
5. Plan the production process: Create a step-by-step plan for how your product will be
produced. Consider the equipment needed, production timeline, and the cost of production.
6. Determine the packaging and labeling: Determine the appropriate packaging and labeling for
your product. Consider the shelf life, storage requirements, and the legal requirements for
labeling and packaging.
7. Conduct a cost analysis: Calculate the total cost of production, including the cost of
ingredients, labor, packaging, and overhead expenses. Consider the selling price of your product
and ensure that it is competitive.
8.Create a marketing plan: Develop a marketing plan that identifies your target market and the
channels through which you will sell your product. Consider promotional strategies that will help
you reach your target market.(Optional)

***9.Prepare a presentation: Prepare a presentation of your food product proposal. Include your
product concept, recipe, production process, packaging and labeling, cost analysis, and
marketing plan. Be prepared to answer questions from your audience. (To be presented: actual
