Personalities and characteristics

あかるい akarui 明るい  bright

くらい   kurai 暗い gloomy

やさしい yasashii 優しい  kind, gentle, sweet

おとなしい otonashii quiet

つめたい tsumetai 冷たい cool

きびしい kibishii 厳しい strict, severe

おとこっぽい otokoppoi 男っぽい maschuline, mannish

おんなっぽい onnappoi 女っぽい feminine

あたま が いい atamaga ii 頭がいい smart

すなお-な sunao-na 素直-な obedient, gentle

まじめ-な majime-na serious, earnest,

ねっしん-な nesshin-na 熱心-な diligent,

しんけいしつ-な shinkeishitu-na 神経質-な nervous

えがおが すて egao ga suteki-na 笑顔が素敵- have a nice smile

かみが ながい kami ga nagai 髪が長い have long hair

ふとっている futotte iru 太っている fat

  1. modifying noun  かのじょは あかるいひ  Kanojo wa akarui hito
(Adj+Noun) と です。 desu

 2. predicate  かのじょは あかるいで  Kanojo wa akarui desu.
