As we all know, salvation is the state of being saved or as simple as, to be free from sin.

We are
sinners from the moment we are born in this world and will be reborn as Christians when we are
baptized. The video was all about the history of salvation, but the main point of the story shows the
amount of love that God has for us and His desire for us to be all saved. Sin was created when Adam and
Eve were tempted by evil and disobeyed God, resulting in the birth of death, pain, and suffering. They
were then exiled and subjected to the consequences of their actions; they repented of their sins; and, in
the end, God still forgives them and promises hope. This cycle can be seen even in our generation today
and can continue indefinitely. We all understand what sin is and how it affects us as individuals, so why
do we keep committing the same sins over and over again when we have already asked God for
forgiveness for what we have done? For me, I think that it’s because we are also aware at the same time
that no matter how much we commit sin, we know for a fact, that God will always forgive us.

We, humans, were created in the image and likeness of God. We are far from perfection, and
can’t help to commit sin every now and then. Jesus was born by the Blessed Virgin Mary, and He has
conquered sin, death, and Satan by dying on the cross. He is the son of God whom was sent and
sacrificed for the sake of humanity to be free from sin.  With this, we also have to do our part. Through
faith and repentance, we can be free from sin and be God’s child. And as what John 11:25-26 says: “I am
the resurrection and the life. Whoever believes in me, though he die, yet shall he live, and everyone who
lives and believes in me shall never die.”

This topic is related to our Holy Week celebration, which commemorates the events leading up
to Jesus' death by crucifixion and resurrection. As Christians, we celebrate this event to be reminded of
how Jesus saved us from our own sins. And for this represents salvation itself, it is a week for us to
repent our sins and be reminded also of God’s eternal love for us. Lastly, Holy Week is the most
important week of the Christian calendar. It is a time when we commemorate Jesus' life, death, and
resurrection in a special way. We recall his actions, ponder his messages, and renew our commitment to
living as his disciples in the world today.
