Conclusion

Based on the findings of the study, the following conclusions were presented for
further understanding

Self-concept on academic Performance and Students’ Attitude toward Learning

Mathematics research study conducted to find the significant correlation between Self-
concept on academic Performance and Students’ Attitude toward Learning
Mathematics. Upon researching and analyzing the given data of the questionnaires, the
researchers concluded that there truly is a connection between Self-concept on
academic Performance and Students’ Attitude toward Learning Mathematics Student
The seen differences from its findings and based on its objectives are as follows:

The first objective was to assess self-concept in relation to academic

performance in mathematics in terms of learned, organized and dynamic. The
researchers found that Dynamic had obtained the highest mean and highest descriptive
level among the three indicators. This was followed by Organize and learned which had
a high descriptive level. Self-concept on academic Performance had a high descriptive
level; therefore Self-concept on academic Performance was often observed.

The Second objective was to maintain the students’ attitudes toward learning
mathematics in terms of confidence in mathematics, importance of mathematics and
engagement in mathematics. The researchers found out that Importance of
mathematics had obtained the highest mean and high descriptive level. This was
followed by confidence in mathematics and engagement in mathematics which had high
descriptive level and interpreted as often observed. Students' Attitude towards Learning
Mathematics had a high descriptive level; therefore Students' Attitude towards Learning
Mathematics was often observed among the students.
The last objective was to determine the significant relationship between Self-
concept on academic performance in mathematics and Students’ attitude toward
learning mathematics. Based on the correlations between variables, chapter 3, table 7,
stated a significant relationship between the two variables, namely Self-concept on
academic Performance and Students’ Attitude toward Learning Mathematics, with a
very high correlation. According to the result, Self-concept on academic performance in
mathematics had a significant impact on Students’ attitude toward learning
mathematics.
