Key Achievements
• Increased the number of students who achieved a passing grade in the GCE Ordinary level
exam by 27.6% while also increasing the number of A grades from 3 to 7 in my first year
alone.
• Changed the attitude of students towards physics by using a competency based teaching
strategy which is more engaging for the students than the traditional method of teaching. This
has lead to a gradual increase in the number of students who choose to do physics in KS4 (Form
4 and Form 5). I only had 12 physics students in form 5 when i arrived for my first year in the
school and now on my forth year, i have a Form 5 physics class of 31 students.
• Because we have few computers in our computer lab, I Introduced decentralized method of
registering marks where a WhatsApp group is created for each class and the teachers who teach
that class are added to the group. Each teacher then fills their marks into the various class lists
and sends them through WhatsApp. The class masters are then charged with importing the
marks into the school database thus eliminating overcrowding in the computer lab.
• Led the music club to the semi finals of our annual regional competition which is the furthest
is the history of the school.
