Absorption in the Small and Large Intestines (Digestive System)

The digestive system plays a crucial role in the human body. It enables our bodies to
break down food, draw out the nutrients we require from it, and get rid of waste.
Notwithstanding these abilities our bodies wouldn't be capable of functioning. The body
can utilize them to provide energy, growth, and repair after they have been absorbed
into the bloodstream. The overall objective of this simulation is to compare the wall
composition of small and large intestine and relate this to their function, explore the
function of the villi in the lining of the small intestine, and detail the implications of
dysfunction of absorption in the small and large intestine. As a student in medical field,
the knowledge we will gain from this simulation will be beneficial for us, since it will
provide us the fundamental knowledge we need throughout our career. Knowing about
the function, characteristics, and how the digestive system work in our body provides us
the insights we will need as we grow further in the medical field. Knowing how the
digestive system’s function will assist us as a student nurse to determine whether or not
everything is functioning as it should. And understanding why it functions the way it
does enables us, as a professional in the medical field, to develop and promote a
lifelong plan of good health for our patients in the near future. Overall, the objectives of
this simulation is to provides us the knowledge we need since we are beginner in the
medical field. The knowledge that are provided by this simulation will be beneficial for us
to be more professional and knowledge in providing assistance and care for our future
patient. In this way, the knowledge we will absorb from this simulation is crucial for us
throughout our career and academic journey in the medical field.
