Abstract: Indian higher education institutions have always had an implied mission to
contribute to national development. Higher education institutions have a crucial role
in the development of human resources and in enhancing individual capacity.
Concern over the internalisation and institutionalisation of attempts to improve the
quality of higher education has increased. National Assessment and Accreditation
Council (NAAC), Bangalore recommends establishing Internal Quality Assurance
Cell (IQAC) as a tool for quality sustenance measure in order to achieve various
goals for increasing the quality of education in higher education institutions. Access
to high-quality education, social justice, and equity are a few of the many ways that
higher education institutions can support national development. Therefore, it is
essential to create a variety of methods to enhance the standard of instruction in
higher education institutions. One of the mechanisms that might help the higher
education institutional system achieve the objectives of quality enhancement and
sustenance is the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC). Internal Quality Assurance
Cell's (IQAC) primary goal is to create a mechanism for steadily raising educational
institutions' administrative and academic performance. The Internal Quality
Assurance Cell (IQAC) can encourage institutional operating policies that will
improve quality. An overview of the Internal Quality Assurance Cell's (IQAC)
contribution to higher education institutions' efforts to improve the quality of
instruction is provided in this document.
