Materials:

- 2 glasses of equal height.

- A syringe.
- Water.
- A laser pointer, preferably green.
- Insulating tape.
- A pin.
Procedure:
Once we have poured water into the syringe, we have to place it between the 2
glasses so that it stays in the air. Now, we lightly squeeze the syringe until a drop
comes out and stays together, that is, without falling on the table . This will be our
converging lens.
On the other hand, we cover the laser button with electrical tape so that it is always
in contact and the beam of light does not go out. Once done, we place it so that it
goes through the drop of water and is projected on a wall. Possibly we need a book or
any other support so that it is at the necessary height.

Our homemade laser microscope is ready! Now we only have to pass the pin through
the walls of our mouth and prick the drop with it. The bacteria will remain in the drop
and we can see them enlarged on the wall if we turn off the lights in the room.
Explanation:
The drop of water that hangs from the syringe has served us as a converging lens or
magnifying glass. The ray of light, when passing through it, converges on a point and
is widened, offering a larger-scale image on the wall. In this image you can see the
small bacteria that we have introduced into the drop with the help of the pin.
