NEW SANDBLAST TE APPLIANCE LICENSING

What is the transition for existing TE Appliance customers?


 Existing TE Appliance customers are not affected by the change:
o Continue to require existing renewal for the TE appliance
o Do not require NGTX for gateways sending files to the TE appliance.
 Customers may transfer to the new licensing and SKUs upon request

Will the old SandBlast TE Appliance SKUs still be available for purchase?
 No, the old SandBlast TE Appliance SKUs will no longer be available for new orders
 We will accept orders with old SKUs (based on quotes provided before the change) until the end of Q3 2016

When do I need NGTX for my SandBlast TE Appliance?


 Any deployment of SandBlast TE Appliance as an enforcement point (inline, SPAN/Tap, MTA, Proxy, ICAP)
requires it to be covered by NGTX

Are all NGTX blades now available for SandBlast Appliance inline deployment?
 Yes, all 8 NGTX blades are included with the NGTX software package for SandBlast appliances

Are multi-year SKUs available for annual packages?


 Yes, all annual packages include a 2-year option with 5% discount and a 3-year option with 10% discount

Is a software update needed in order to use the new SKUS?


 No, the new SKUs are compatible with R77.30 and above

Can a SandBlast TE Appliance with NGTX send files to the cloud service?
 Yes, once covered by an NGTX license, the SandBlast TE Appliance is entitled to send files for emulation by the
cloud service in addition to being deployed inline and emulating files locally

Is there a limit to the number of files a SandBlast TE Appliance can send to the cloud service?
 As with NGTX gateways, the cloud entitlement awarded to TE Appliances is capped to protect the cloud service
 For vast majority of gateways, the cap is not reached

Does the SandBlast API require a license?
 The SandBlast API enables sending files to the SandBlast service for emulation and extraction
 API usage is entitled through a dedicated API license which can be associated with an User Center account and
applies to usage of both SandBlast Appliances and of the cloud service
