In This Version
This release contains support for new and updated file formats. There are updates for
most technologies that Analyzer supports, with changes falling under the following
categories:

• Technology improvements:
o Support for 3GPP NR-RRC Rel.16.2.0.

• New collections of devices and improvements:

o SIP improvements for Accuver XCAL DRM
o Support for Infovista TEMS TRR API 22.2.1.
o Load speed improvements for Keysight Nemo (WiFi measurements).
o Support for Keysight Nemo ff2.44 new features.
o Support for LTE and NR scanner changes in R&S QualiPoc v20.2.

• Application Layer improvements

o New stateform dedicated to DSS Analysis.

5G-NR support
• Support added for 3GPP RRC 16.2.0.

• New stateform has been designed, supporting 5G NR Dynamic Spectrum

Sharing Analysis configuration and throughput results:

Accuver XCAL DRM support

• Resolved a problem where decoding of certain ESP keys was failing, having an
impact on encrypted SIP message decoding. The SIP (and subsequently VoLTE
event detection) is now decoded correctly.

• Support added for Call Party Number during SIP calls, setting attribute:
o SIP_From_User

• WCDMA voice codec support extended to support Samsung Exynos chipset,

setting the following attributes:
o AMR_WB_Frame_Type_Index_DL
o AMR_WB_Frame_Type_Index_UL
o AMR_NB_Frame_Type_Index_DL
o AMR_NB_Frame_Type_Index_UL

Infovista TEMS support

• Support added for TEMS TRR API 22.2.1, supporting existing TEMS Investigation
and TEMS Pocket versions.

• Resolved a problem where TEMS Automatic using certain older HSPA devices were
not recognized as WCDMA-capable.

Keysight Nemo support

• Resolved a problem in load speed, when monitoring multiple BSSIDs when
performing WiFi measurements. The measurements are reported fully in the
Message Browser, and the attributes are now limited to the top 10 channels,
sorted by RSSI, from the CELLMEAS (WLAN) messages.

• Further improvements made to reporting of LTE_UE_Carrier_Num_DL,

considering the cell type in the Nemo message.

• Added support for measurements per NR-ARFCN and PCI combination:

o NR_UE_NRARFCN_*****_RSRP_for_PCI[ ]
o NR_UE_NRARFCN_*****_RSRQ_for_PCI[ ]
o NR_UE_NRARFCN_*****_SINR_for_PCI[ ]

• Added support for Nemo ff2.44:

both PUSCH and PUCCH:

Qualcomm QXDM / chipset support
• Extended support for setting attribute NR_UE_Band to more log codes.

• The following log code messages have been added/improved:

o NR 5G MAC CDRX Events Info, v2.01 (0xB890), into Message Browser.
o NR 5G RRC OTA, v9 (0xB821), decoding all relevant RRC signalling.
o NR 5G L2 UL Config, v5 (0xB871), into Message Browser only.

Rohde & Schwarz SmartONE (QualiPoc / SmartBenchmarker) support

• Resolved a problem where invalid LTE messages collected during GSM calls
triggered event detection to an LTE PCell, rather than the GSM server.

• Support added for v20.2 scanner changes, in LTE Pilots v2, subversion 6, required
for analyzing TSMx scanner results in LTE, supporting attributes:

o LTE_Scan_***_SortedBy_RSRP[ ]

• Support added for v20.2 scanner changes, in Scanner 5G Beams subversion 2, in

required for analyzing TSMx scanner results in NR, supporting attributes:
o NR_Scan_Beam_***_SortedBy_RSRP[ ]

• Support added for NR5G Carrier State subver 1, supporting attributes:

Solutelia WINd Pro/Controller support

• Implemented support for version 1.0.33, with an updated version 7 of the mobile
Status (0xCFFA) message.

• Resolved a problem where the Message Browser was not decoding the pixel
registration points correctly, in the IBWC TAB Info (0xC112) message.

Event Detection
• VoLTE setup failure event detection has been improved, adding SIP_Reason_Text
= MEDIA BEARER LOSS as an abnormal SIP cause (into the
VoIP_Event_Layer_NormalBYECondition trigger criteria). This is also checked
when the call is terminated with a UL SIP CANCEL message.

• Improvements have been made to the cell where an LTE dropped call
(LTE_RRCConnection_DroppedEvent) was detected, to ensure the event is
pegged at the correct cell during query analysis.

• Added support for redirection to 5GS from 5G-NSA mode, with

LTE_Event_RedirectedReselection_to5GNR_* events being set.

• Added support for LTE_5GNSA_HO_Fail event detection where the 5G NSA HO

Init and LTE RRC Drop events are detected at the same message.

• Resolved a problem in LTE_5GNSA_HO_Type, where the target site and cell

information was previously not being compared with the cellrefs correctly.

Generic
• Support added for 3GPP RRC 16.2.0.

• Resolved a problem where NR-MeasResultSCG-Failure was reported as DL-DCCH.

• Support for RSRP, RSRQ and SINR measurements to be set from the
MeasResultSCG-Failure NR-RRC container:
o NR_RRC_MeasResultSCG_Failure_measResultPerMOList_ssbFrequency

o NR_RRC_MeasResultSCG_Failure_measResultServingCell_resultsSSB_Cell_rsrp

exported from a map into a configured report template.

Licensing
• Resolved a problem where the dongle ID was only reported in the Diagnostics on
its second run, if the dongle was swapped to a new one.

Protocol Stack Browser

• Resolved a problem where the LTE RRC BCCH-BCH MasterInformationBlock
message was not responding to the filter settings.

Known Issues and Obsolescence

End of Life announcements

• Advance notice is given that from the end of December 2020, Actix Analyzer shall
no longer support the Keysight Nemo .dt1 and .fs1 formats. Support for Nemo
tool data formats shall be limited to the .NMF (2G-4G) and .NMFS (5G) formats.

• Advance notice is given that from the end of February 2021, Actix Analyzer shall
no longer support the obsolete Meritech SIGX format via the Meritech API.
Future support of the Sigma-LA/ML product ranges is planned.

• Advance notice is given that from the end of February 2021, Actix Analyzer shall
no longer support the obsolete DingLi .RCU format. Support shall be limited to
the current .DCF format.

Product Support for previous versions

• With the recent addition of both 5G NSA NR and 5G SA NR, and in response to
many collection tools having released new versions to support NR technologies,
the complexity of maintaining support for all previous versions of Analyzer has
increased. Therefore, the versions of Actix Analyzer supported by the Analyzer
Product Support team shall be limited to the current version and previous 12
monthly releases, in a sliding window.
