WHY IS TAYLOR

SWIFT RE-
RECORDING HER
ALBUMS?
Who is Taylor Swift?
Taylor Swuft is one of the most

influential female singers in the music

industry.

When Taylor was just starting her career (year 2007) she signed
with a record label called "big machine records", her contract with
this label expired at the end of 2018 so Taylor was looking to
renew her contract. It was then when the label proposed to give
her back the rights to her own music if she recorded 6 albums with
them, evidently Taylor rejected this proposal because she knew
that machine records could be sold..
TAYLOR WITH SCOTT

Although she wrote each one of her projects, the label

owned the rights to each one of them, these rights were
under the control of Scott Borchetta and as I mentioned
before, Scott sold the label and Scotter Braun bought it for
three hundred million dollars taking over Taylor’s first 6
albums and her image (without her previous consent)
SOME TIME LATER TAYLOR SIGNED A
CONTRACT IN
2019 WITH A NEW LABEL "REPUBLIC
RECORDS"
WHICH GAVE HER THE RIGHT TO HAVE
ALL HER
MUSIC UNDER THE REPUBLIC LABEL.
FINALLY
TAYLOR HAD THE IDEA TO RE-RECORD
THE FIRST 6
ALBUMS THAT HER PREVIOUS LABEL
HAD SOLD, IN
ORDER TO HAVE CONTROL OVER THE
M, AS TAYLOR
HAS ALWAYS WANTED TO OWN HER O
WN MUSIC.
AS OF TODAY SHE HAS 2 OF 6 ALBUMS TO RE-
RECORD, THESE ARE FEARLESS (TAYLOR'S VERSION)
AND RED (TAYLOR'S VERSION), BOTH ALBUMS CONTAIN
THE ORIGINAL SONGS AND ADDITIONAL SONGS THAT
TAYLOR HAD WRITTEN BUT NEVER ADDED SO SHE
DECIDED TO TAKE THE OPPORTUNITY AND ADD THEM.
THE OLD VERSIONS OF THESE ALBUMS ARE STILL
AVAILABLE ON ALL MUSIC PLATFORMS BUT THE IDEA
OF THESE RE-RECORDINGS IS CLEARLY TO NOT LISTEN
TO THE VERSIONS THAT WERE STOLEN (THAT'S WHY
SHE HIGHLIGHTED HER VERSIONS WITH "TAYLOR'S
VERSION").
