WEEBLY
What is weebly?
Weebly is a free and paid website building platform that allows individuals and
businesses of all sizes to quickly and easily create a custom website or online store. It has a
simple drag and drop interface that allows even those with no coding experience to create an
attractive website without having to hire a web designer or learn HTML. With Weebly, you get
access to hundreds of mobile-optimized themes and templates, as well as other features like
analytics tracking, e-commerce tools, and more.

How to use and create a wide site in Weebly?

 Signup
- To able to signup you need first head over to Weebly.com
- Click “Create Your Web site”
- Enter your credential (Name, email, and password)

 Choosing Desired Type Of Website

- Weebly will ask one question “What kind of website would you like to create?”
where weebly offer two options “I want a personal website” or “I want a business
website.” The one you go for depends entirely on your desired type of web site.
- Selected “Try Weebly Websites”, and then you will be directed to Weebly’s template
library.

 Selecting a Theme
- After you’ve filtered the library based on the type of website you want to build.
Weebly narrows your choices down to a handful of industry-specific templates.
- Preview your favorite designs
- In browsing a theme, you can click a thumbnail to preview the theme in full screen
and if you find something you like, click Start Editing in the top right.
- If you decide to try something different later, you can change the template by
clicking the Themes heading on the top toolbar. This will bring up the template
library.

 Choosing Your Domain

- Before you start editing, you need to give your website a name. The name of your
website appears in your website address and is known as your domain name. For
example, techlearning.com
- In getting a domain for your Weebly website, don’t worries Weebly will
automatically prompt you to type in a domain name. You can get a free domain by
choosing the Weebly subdomain. This means your website address will contain
“.weebly.com”

 Designing Your Weebly Website

Editing Text Boxes
- In editing text box, you only click and edit, as well as drag and drop
media, without needing to know any code. So to update the text, simply
click the box and type.
Editing the Background
- To further customize your design you can freely change your
background, by simply click on the background image and select Edit
Background. From there you can change images, scroll effects, and page
orientation.

Adding New Elements

- In adding new elements just simply use the 'item menu' on the left to
drag and drop the media icon of your choice anywhere on the page. You
can place text, videos, buttons, and more almost anywhere. If you want to
add an image just drag the icon to the desired location and click Upload
Image.
- To edit other pages on your Weebly site, click Pages in the top navigation
menu and select another page. Adding elements is the same process for
each page. Simply drag and drop elements.
Adding New Pages
- Go to the Pages tab in the menu and click the plus icon in the left sidebar.
A drop-down menu of different page types will appear.
- Choose the type of page you want to create (such as a blog page) and give
it a name. When you do this, Weebly will automatically load the page
with pre-populated images and content that you can create yourself.
Don't forget to click done to save your new page setup. Once you've done
that, go back to the Build menu tab and edit the page as normal.
- In adding subpages just repeat the process in adding new pages and
places it below to the page where you want to create a subpage and
simply drag it to the right.
Change color scheme
- You can change the color theme of your page by going to the Themes
section of your dashboard. Some themes simply offer a light/dark option,
while others offer an actual.
Publishing your web site
- To publish your site, just click the “Publish” button in the top right
corner. You will then receive a popup telling you it’s published. Copy the
URL if you wish to share it.
