The original design could not
create enough energy to even
move the bag, so more weight
and length was added. Also, the
platform size was changed from
the original to 17x 17 cm. After
testing, adding more height to
the base would aid the launch
distance significantly as there is
not something stopping the
travel of the arm. Also, the
counterweight could be
connected by better means.

Conclusion and safety
This project could be improved by increasing the distance between the two
supports to allow more range of motion, allowing more distance.

Safety: This prototype has exposed screws and an unstable base. These can
cause minor injuries to a child. These problems would be fixed in a product ready
for the market. However, in general having a swinging pendulum is dangerous and
having a pound bag being thrown has inherent danger.
