Eid Mubarak
Eid al-Fitr is a national holiday in Indonesia. Eid al-Fitr is a big day for Muslims in the world,
today is a moment of victory for all Muslims after fasting for 30 days and controlling lust and
various evils in the month of Ramadan.
Eid al-Fitr is interpreted as a form of self-reflection, a state of gratitude and joy. Therefore,
every 1st of Shawwal, Muslims around the world will carry out the Eid prayer. After carrying out
the Eid prayer, Muslims will gather with their families and forgive each other. The Eid al-Fitr
moment is the right moment to purify the heart of all evil hearts and deeds, and this moment can
also be a moment to stay in touch with each other to establish intimacy.
In this Eid celebration, there are various kinds of traditions such as the tradition of
apologizing which has become a mandatory tradition that will always be present at every Eid
celebration. Some examples of other well-known traditions are the homecoming tradition and the
takbir night tradition. Mudik is a tradition that is quite popular in Indonesia, this tradition is a
tradition of returning home. This tradition is usually carried out a few days or a week before Eid
al-Fitr. This tradition is a moment for a family gathering for people who live far from their
families. Takbir night itself is the night before Eid al-Fitr. At night, people will go around
chanting takbir while beating the drum with great fanfare, this is done as a form of gratitude for
the coming of victory day.
Eid al-Fitr is a very special day for Muslims because at this moment we can enjoy time with
our family and with its unique traditions make this Eid moment even more festive. Therefore, let
us make this Eid al-Fitr moment a moment to forgive each other and cleanse our hearts of all bad
things.
