PROJECT FILE
1. Observation is a very powerful tool of psychological enquiry. It is an
effective method of describing behaviour. You may also have
experienced that if you carefully observe a person or event for some
time, you come to know many interesting things about the person or
the event.

Conduct a naturalistic and non-participant observation in a real life
setting and report the findings.
Follow the steps mentioned below:
i. Select a real life natural setting you prefer such as home,
street
ii. Select a behaviour you are interested in observing in the
chosen natural setting
iii. Record the frequency of the selected behaviour by making
tallies and note down any details related to the behaviour
such as body language, expressions, verbal communication
iv. Observe the behaviour in a minimum of five individuals
v. Analyze the recorded data by calculating the number of times
the behaviour occurred within a given time frame, the kind
of body language used and words communicated.
vi. Interpret the results you analyzed and draw a conclusion on
the behaviour you observed

be conducted
iii. Select the participants and explain the aim of your research
iv. Conduct the interview and note down or record the responses
given.
v. After the conduction of the interview, thoroughly read through
the responses and find patterns or themes related to the topic
vi. Write a report on the findings
