    ACT 1 and 2 Hot Seat Summative Assessment

    Taking on each of the four characters in the activity, “Hot Seat,” ultimately helped me

    understand the novel and the character's development on another level. This activity helped me

    understand the characters actions or better said decisions during Act 1 and 2 because I have to

    respond while in their shoes. Doing this also made me think of how far each character has come

    since the beginning of the novel in Act 1 because you see how much they have changed when

    attempting to respond to questions that focus around their latest actions. Participating in this

    activity you also learn a lot about the novel because you talk and realize how quickly it has

    unrolled into the climax and so fourth. Overall, having to answer questions through each of the

    four characters’ perspectives is challenging, but you learn a lot about them and about the novel

    itself.
