The UN SDG Efficiency Agenda is composed of a set of streams and while some of them enable

collaboration between entities such as the Mutual Recognition Principle, others realize efficiencies
such as the BOS, the Business Operation Strategy, the CBO, the Common Back Office, and the
CP the Common Premises. Besides the commitments on the implementation of these streams, and
generally recovering a course cost avoidance, the UN Development System has committed to
reporting these results, consistently, and transparently.

The Efficiency Impact Report is the mechanism designed to aggregate all reform-related results.
The impact definition encompasses both efficiency gains, which are quantifiable in monetary
terms, as well as effective improvements in a narrative form.
The efficiency gains cover cost avoidance, for instance, the value saved through procurement by
using LTA from another agency and as well as time savings, for example, the time saved by the
digitization of a process.

Now the effectiveness improvements covered the quality improvements. For example, the
technology-enabled processes reduce reducing risks of errors. The scope of reporting is for back-
office functions only in the areas of administration, including facilities, finance, HR, ICT, logistics,
and procurement. The program related impacts should not be included in this report.

The initiatives reports will be grouped and reported in the three different categories, the first one
being the interagency category, which consists of common or joint initiatives at the country,
regional or regional levels, such as the BOS, the CBO, and the CP. The second category is the
bilateral category, which consists of initiatives between two or more agencies at the global agency
level. And the third category is the agency category which consists of internal initiatives by a
single un entity.

Now with all of these figures collected, these will be regularly consolidated into a report, which is
the Efficiency Reports. Thank you.
