Part A Situation:
**NOTE: The other students have different descriptions than you
Student #1 and Student #2 have been working with 3 other students on an oral presentation
report. This is the 5th meeting they have had with the team. All of the team members have
become frustrated with Student #2 because they have only completed about half of the work
expect of them to complete. The other group members have started to voice their frustration
that this is not fair. Student #1 has decided to speak with this student one on one and provide
them with feedback on their performance. They have both stayed back after a workshop to
talk.
During the interactions, feel free to write down notes of what you thought made the
interaction ineffective (interaction #1) or effective (interaction #2).
After the interactions, Lead the debrief conversation after the interaction.
 Interaction #1 - What did you observe that made the conversation ineffective? Point
out at least three things that made the feedback giving ineffective and three things that
made the feedback receiving ineffective.
 Interaction #2 - What did you observe that made the conversation effective? Point out
at least three things that made the feedback giving effective and three things that made
the feedback receiving effective.
 Ask the students what they thought of each other’s performance
