Fashion is a growing issue in today’s sociaty.

More
and more people rely on it to dictate the course of
their appearance in the world whoch is bad because it’s
constantly changing so that’s why I agree with “It’s
only the modern that ever becomes old-fashioned.
First of all, today with the term "modern" we do
not define anything, also because no one knows what the
word exactly means. Being trendy, or super trendy are
both teh same. It’s clear that with fashion changing
constantly and with trends coming and going, if you
really want to always be up-to-date you risk going off
topic or out of fashion.
On the same topic, this obsession with being trendy
is a self-contradiction because when a trend goes out
of fashion a new one comes out right afterwards and one
doesn’t always have the time, nor the money, to
purchase everything. What’s sure is that fashion
consumption is moving increasingly faster and often it
doesn’t give us the time to realize what is really
going on.
On the other hand, actually, the role of fashion is
exactly that of changing, of evolving, of transforming,
otherwise it wouldn’t be called fashion, but style.
Fashion often holds a social function that can be
discriminating as it separates people who have
financial means from those who haven’t. This has
nothing to do with taste. You can dress extravagantly
and not look elegant, and vice versa dress simply and
be truly classy.
All in all, as I see it, fashion is constantly
changing and whatever is now modern could very well not
be next week as we as people define what modern mean
depending on the current trend.
