Writing Thesis Statements

A thesis statement is one sentence that establishes the focus of your essay. In an essay for

be restated (worded in a new way) in your conclusion. Topic sentences should be the first
sentence of each body paragraph and they should contain transition, topic of the essay, and
main idea of the paragraph.
