This 30-minute lesson for lower elementary school students focuses on growth mindset and social emotional learning. Students will read The Magical Yet and discuss things they cannot do yet. They will create mini posters with mantras to remind themselves that they are always growing. The goal is for students to understand that we are not all great at things yet and there are abilities we have not developed, but that we can tell ourselves encouraging phrases when facing challenges.
