New Year’s Resolution

Visualizing The Light Around Me

If I were to describe how I want my 2023 to be through a song, I want "Stay Beautiful" by Jamie.
When going through hardships, I don’t want to lose myself. Instead, I want to remain content and
confident that things will work out, even if I am not totally happy at the time. But I also personally
think that the key to making my New Year's resolution stick is to find the part of myself that already
wants it to happen and learn to let it lead. Staying pretty entails being healthy, eating at the right
time, working out to strengthen my body, protecting my peace, focusing more on learning than
grades, and not pushing myself on those who don't like me. Instead of pushing myself, I'll concentrate
more on my studies so that I can learn more. Aside from those, I think I should also get the hang of
accepting what the universe will give me. They say that if you don’t accept the things that are given to
you, then you are not letting the abundance in. I feel like when someone offers something to you,
take it, don't refuse it, and don't pay back for it; instead, give that person something else, not with the
intention of giving them back what they gave to you, but as a method of appreciating their actions,
because what you give always finds its way back. For example, if someone gives you a nice book to
read or pays for your dinner, don't give them money; instead, buy them a gift, but not because they
treated you or anything; give it to them to express your gratitude towards them. It will probably feel
pretty good. That's usually how we feel when we get what we want. Conscious habit-building is key,
and I believe that there's always a part of you that wants to go. It's just a matter of getting in touch
with it. I've seen far too many people make resolutions that they truly, deeply despised. You can
probably break even with that with disciplined persistence, but then again, only a few people are
ready to make themselves miserable on purpose. I want to spread happy vibes, be mature in
everything, be responsible, and improve my skills and knowledge this year. I need to make sure I’m
there for myself this year, and I won’t let myself down again.
