Advertisement for Research Assistant (on contract basis)

Applications are invited for two Research Assistants (RA) on purely temporary basis in the
Shri Ram Education Foundation funded project entitled “Representing Women in the Indian
Metropolis: Gender, Violence and the Urban Space” under the supervision of Dr. Arunima
Ray and Dr. Wafa Hamid, at Department of English, LSR as part of the Dr. Bharat Ram
Research Grant 2022-23. The selected candidate will be appointed for a period of 03 months.

Applications are invited for the following post:

Research Assistant (RA) (two Posts): 10,000 INR per person (for 3 months).

Duration: 3 months (1 January to 1 April 2023)

Eligibility/Essential Qualification: Candidates should be presently enrolled in LSR.

Desirable: Candidate should have an excellent academic track record. Experience with
cocurricular activities/interest in and around issues the areas of gender is desirable for the
position.

Tenure: The above position is purely temporary and valid for 3 months only. The Supervisors
reserve the right to select the candidate against the above posts depending upon the
qualification and experience of the candidate. The appointment may be terminated any time by
giving 1 day notice if the candidates do not meet the demands of the post. The applicants will
have no claim implicit or explicit for consideration against any other position of the College.
