Listening Part
- It is about 40 minutes long.

- Content: 4 parts and 30 questions.


- Purpose: Tests your ability to follow and understand a range of spoken
materials, such as interviews, radio broadcasts, presentations, talks and
everyday conversations.

Listening Part: exercise 1 - multiple choice
- Three short extracts from conversations between interacting speakers.
- There are two multiple-choice questions for each extract and you have to
choose A, B or C.
- What do I have to practise? Listening for feeling, attitude, opinion, purpose,
function, agreement, course of action, gist, detail, etc.
- Number of questions: 6.
- How many marks? one mark for each correct answer.

Listening Part: exercise 2 - sentence completion
- A monologue lasting approximately 3 minutes. You have to complete the
sentences on the question paper with the missing information which you
hear on the recording.
- What do I have to practise? Listening for specific information, stated opinion.
- Number of questions? 8
- How many marks? 1 mark for each correct answer.
Tipps:
- No changes are required to the key information. Write what you hear!
- No answer will need more than three words (mostly one or two words).
- See if the sentence makes sense.
