1. INTRODUCTION
This document provides a list of required equipment and optional equipment for the GTX 33X and GTX
3X5 with ADS-B AML STC.

2. EQUIPMENT LIST
This document provides a listing of required and optional interfaced equipment, approved hardware, and
software part numbers and versions. For GTX 33X equipment, part numbers are listed in Table 1. GTX
3X5 equipment part numbers are listed in Table 2. The software part numbers and versions for the GTX
33X and 3X5 are identified in Table 4 and Table 5, respectively.
2.1 EQUIPMENT
2.1.1 REQUIRED EQUIPMENT INSTALLED UNDER THIS STC

A GTX 33X or GTX 3X5 unit is required to be installed from the possible options listed in Table 1 and
Table 2 below as required equipment for a GTX 33X or GTX 3X5 with ADS-B system. The GTX
transponder is a radio transmitter and receiver that operates on radar frequencies, receiving ground
radar or TCAS interrogations at 1030 MHz and transmitting a coded response of pulses to ground-based
radar on a frequency of 1090 MHz. The GTX 33X and GTX 3X5 units as installed by this STC are
capable of transmitting Automatic Dependent Surveillance – Broadcast (ADS-B) position reports to ADS-
B ground stations operated by the FAA to provide Air Traffic Control (ATC) a more accurate picture of
the aircraft’s position. The GTX 345/345R units are capable of receiving ADS-B In 1090 and 978 MHz
data.

2.1.2 OPTIONAL INSTALLED EQUIPMENT

This STC approves the installation of the optional equipment identified in Table 3 with the GTX 3X5
installation.

This STC provides approval to interface existing aircraft equipment. Refer to the GTX 3XX Part 23 AML
STC Installation Manual (P/N 190-00734-10) for a complete list of approved interfaced equipment.
2.1.3 ANTENNAS
This STC provides data to interface to (an) existing transponder antenna(s). Refer to the GTX 3XX Part
23 AML STC Installation Manual (P/N 190-00734-10) for a description of the required antenna interface.
This STC provides data to interface a GPS antenna to the GTX 3X5 units with an internal GPS/SBAS
receiver. However, this STC does not provide detailed installation information for the GPS antenna.
Refer to the GTX 3XX Part 23 AML STC Installation Manual (P/N 190-00734-10) for a description of the
required antenna interface.
2.2 SOFTWARE
2.2.1 GTX 33X SOFTWARE

Table 4 below represents the required approved software. Software listed below is applicable to all GTX
33X hardware identified in Table 1.

Table 6 lists the G950/G1000 ‘Interface Card’ that is compatible for each combination of GDU 1XXX,
GIA 63X, and aircraft. The ‘Interface Card’ is required to interface a GTX 3X5 to the specified
G950/G1000 units and aircraft.
 GTX 3X5 main software v2.02 must use 006-B( )-01 series of Interface Card Software P/Ns.
 GTX 3X5 main software v2.03 must use 006-B( )-02 series and 006-B( )-03 series of Interface
Card Software P/Ns.
 GTX 3X5 main software v2.52 must use 006-B( )-07 and -08 series of Interface Card Software
