What is
Negritos?
Introduction
Indigenous people known as the Negritos are
said to have been the first people to settle in
Southeast Asia and some areas of the Pacific
Islands. The term "Negrito" is used to describe
their exterior look and is derived from the
Spanish word "negro," which meaning black.
The Negritos are one of the oldest human
populations in the world, In several nations
today, like the Philippines, Malaysia, and
Indonesia, the Negritos are a marginalized and
minority people. Many issues affect them,
including as discrimination, property disputes,
and limited access to healthcare and education..
They have evolved their own unique cultures
and languages as a result of their long isolation.

History of
Negritos
Southeast Asian ethnic groups known as negritos are
distinguished by their diminutive stature, dark skin, curly
hair, and other physical characteristics. They are thought
to have lived in the Philippines and other parts of
Southeast Asia for tens of thousands of years, making
them one of the area's earliest occupants.
The Aeta are well recognized for their hunting and gathering habits and
for having a thorough understanding of the forest's resources. They
have evolved sustainable methods for collecting food, medicine, and
materials from the forest and have a profound grasp of the natural
world. The Aeta also have a strong cultural legacy, with unique music,
dancing, clothes, and accessories. They also speak a unique language.
While having a rich cultural heritage, the Aeta have had to overcome
many challenges over the years, such as discrimination, property
disputes, and limited access to healthcare and education. They have
survived for a very long time thanks to their bravery and adaptability,
and they still uphold their own identity and culture.

What is
Agta
The name "Agata" is used to describe a number of indigenous
groups that are found in the northeastern region of the
Philippine island of Luzon. The Agta people are renowned for
their lifestyle of hunting and gathering as well as their
familiarity with the outdoors and wildlife.
The Ati people have traditionally been nomads who live off of
hunting and gathering. They have specialized abilities and
knowledge for hunting, fishing, and gathering forest items like
honey and wild fruits. They also have extensive knowledge of
the forests and wildlife.
