What is your motivation to pursue the Golden Gate University DBA program?

Education & working background:

I'm a valid life long learner with an insatiable thirst to learn and improve myself continuously.
After recently completing my Bachelor's Degree in Sociology, I'm looking for the next step in my
continuous improvement journey while being able to drive my career forward. I believe that if I
have a DBA Degree from Golden Gate University will provide me with both the learning
progression I seek by building on the solid foundation I have gained through my Bachelor's
Degree in Sociology and the flexibility to continue developing my career as a leader. I have
more than ten years of professional experience accumulated in all my jobs that I'm included. I
have my company, founded in 2006 with more than 2000 employees and continues to grow.

I feel that the DBA opened a door of understanding into the world of business that can be
studied more deeply and help the companies to adapt more quickly to the global evolution in
many facets, plus a possible career in an academic environment, but one thing is clear: the DBA
scratched the surface on a multitude of complex and fascinating topics, etc., and I'm incredibly
eager to explore in more depth through specialization on leadership research segments that I
can apply to my work daily.

Leading an engineering department consisting of 25 teams and 55 people while doing the
Bachelor's Degree in Sociology, I could directly apply what I was learning in real time to my
work which certainly had a direct benefit on my career. I want to leverage the DBA at GGU to
enhance my leadership skills to solve challenges that have real and lasting business impacts
daily on my life.

How do you think the Golden Gate University San Francisco experience will benefit your
career?

Regarding the type of learning, I want to learn from time served industry experts with substantial
experience applying academic theory to real life problems and how to solve any challenges in
business that I can see in the future. For me, Golden Gate University focuses on students
learning from practitioners and its reputation as an excellent academic institution for working
professionals. I think it's a perfect fit for me as a business owner and diplomat for the UN while
doing my DBA study with you.

I believe that GGU's geographic location will enable me many more opportunities to do
networking and learn from business leaders from some of the world's most innovative
companies, which I plan to leverage to drive my understanding and career forward.

I believe this course will enable me to strengthen and demonstrate the research and analysis
tools that I anticipate needing, along with enhanced credibility that will build on my solid
entrepreneur and diplomatic background as a Changer of Old Leader ships Techniques to give
my future clients confidence in my abilities. In terms of my career plans, I plan to become a well
known motivational speaker and teacher and build upon my skills in organizational
management and people leadership in a short time. For the longer term, I plan to transition into
the teaching world and speaker in new methods of leadership, etc.
