I. EACH MEMBER’S FOCUS (If your team has only 9 members, only 1 member will dwell on
Member 4 and 5’s focus topics and questions.
This is to ensure that all members of the team can cooperate equally. Research team leaders
must equally distribute and assign the following focus questions to the members:
ORIBIA
Member 1: What is the research all about? Give a brief abstract on the assigned research.
ABOCEJO
Member 2: The title. Introduce the title and explain why or why not the title is effective in terms of
the characteristics of a good title. Justify also why or why not the title should be modified based
on the assigned research’s variables, main arguments, and main problems.
BUNAYOG
Member 3: Discuss the Background of the study and Statement of the Problem of the assigned
research. What Are the contents all about? Were the contents consistent with the other parts of
the research papers? What modifications would you want to alter in these parts?
BASADRE AND MONTEJO
Members 4 and 5: Discuss the Significance of the study of the assigned research. Were the
contents consistent and evident in the last chapter? Discuss the Statement of the problem. What
are the variables? Were the variables supported with the correct theoretical/conceptual
framework? Were they properly supported by related studies? Justify. What modifications would
you want to alter in these parts?
MAGDALAN
Member 6. Discuss powerful related studies present in the assigned research. Justify whether
the related studies are interconnected or inconsistent with the variables used in the theoretical
or conceptual framework.
LA VICTORIA
Member 7. Discuss the Research design used in the assigned research and justify whether
this/these design/designs is/are appropriate for the whole process of the research study.
ORACION
Member 8. Discuss the Statistical treatment used. Justify why is it or why is it not appropriate for
the research study assigned. What modifications would you want to alter in these parts?
DUROG
Member 9. Justify if the results of the assigned research paper are valid or not based on your
evaluation. If validity is evident, what then are the findings? If validity is not evident, what are your
own findings?
CENTURIAS
Member 10. Discuss the possible risks and the benefits that could be involved if the research
findings would be actualized. Justify if the conclusions made are or are not consistent with the
results of the assigned research. If it is not, what are your own conclusions?
2. The 10-minute accommodation of each team will be divided: 3 to 5 minutes for the presentation
and 3 to 5 minutes, or depending upon the panelist, for the interrogation.
