WORKSHEET #1

1.) How does creative writing help us share our significant experiences?

In creative writing, we wrote what is on our minds in our imagination, but we can still put our
significant experience into the scenarios that we want to share with the readers. For example, as an aspiring
author, I tend to use some of my life experiences or personal experiences to be part of the story so that the
readers can relate and learn some lessons, at the same time the readers find it enjoyable. And if you are a fan of
reading books on different kinds of genres you will notice that not everything that the authors write in the story
is always imagination but they also write based on their own experience and share it with their readers. For me,
authors tend to write their own experiences in their story not just to make a story but also to make the readers
aware of what they will do if they are in the same situation just like the character’s in the story.

Creative writing helps us share our significant experiences by writing a story that was based on some
true-life scenarios or where most of the readers can relate to the situation of the characters in the story. Just like
I said earlier authors tend to put essential life experiences in their story to share with the readers and to also
learn from that story. In creative writing, we wrote stories but we do not sometimes notice that some parts of
our written stories are part of our personal experiences, that is why when we wrote stories it is not the same as
the other authors because every person is unique and your work is unique as every person in this world is
unique and had different experiences in life. In addition, writing a story or poem is like another half of the
author’s life where they are free to share and are comfortable to be with.

2.) How do sensory words bring out the creativity of the writers?

Sensory words help the author describe the scenarios of the story for the readers to feel, see, smell, hear,
and taste what is written in the story. These sensory words will determine if the author’s imagination and
creativity are wide enough and if the author can describe well what is happening in his/her story. There are
some authors that cannot describe well what is happening in the story which makes the readers confused and
their story was jumping to one another not explaining what happened to the characters in that scenario or plot.

For example, you can say that the author of the book did really well on his/her story and creatively wrote
it because you really understand what happened in the story. The use of sensory words is on point and
everything in the story was well written, you can feel and say that you are the character of the story based on the
sensory words used by the author. Using these sensory words will bring out the creativity of the authors on how
well they describe what is happening in the story by using sensory words that will help the readers feel, see,
smell, hear, and taste what is going on in that story.

3.) How do sensory words attract readers and help them enjoy the reading experience?

For me, as a reader sensory words are really important in a story because these words are the ones that
bring life to the story and make us feel the story more. Just like what I said earlier sensory words can make us
also feel, see, smell, hear, and taste just like what is happening in the story. This will also make the readers feel
like one of the characters in the story or should we say the main character of the story because of the use of
sensory words.

By using sensory words it is granted that the readers will be attracted to read more about the story and
will really enjoy it especially if the author can really describe well the story by using sensory words. In addition,
if the story is also relatable and the plot is really good it will be guaranteed that the readers will really enjoy
your story. But overall sensory words are essential to every story made because just like I said they are the ones
who bring life to the story and make the readers feel what the characters also feel inside the story.
