CHAPTER 1: SWACHH BHARAT ABHIYAN

INTRODUCTION

Swachh Bharat Abhiyan is a Clean India drive and Mission launched as a national
campaign by the Indian Government aimed at maintaining cleanliness of streets, roads and
infrastructure of the country. Indian Prime Minister, Narendra Modi has officially launched
this mission on 2nd of October (the birth anniversary of the Mahatma Gandhi) in 2014 at
Rajghat, New Delhi. While launching the event Prime Minister himself had cleaned the
road.It is the biggest cleanliness drive ever in India where approximately 3 million
government employees including students from schools and colleges took part in the
cleanliness activities.

Aim of the Mission

This mission aimed to join each and every Indian people from all walks of life by making the structure
of branching of a tree. Swachh Bharat mission aimed to construct individual sanitary latrines for
household purposes for the people living under poverty line, converting dry latrines into low-cost
sanitary latrines, provide facility of hand pumping, safe and secure bathing, set up sanitary marts,
construct drains, disposal of solid and liquid wastes, enhance health and education awareness, provide
household and environmental sanitation facilities and many more. Earlier many awareness programs
(such as Total Sanitation Campaign, Nirmal Bharat Abhiyan, etc.) about the environmental sanitation
and personal cleanliness were launched by the Indian government however could not be so effective
to make India a clean India. The main objectives of Swachh Bharat Abhiyan are removing the trend of
open defecation, changing insanitary toilets into pour flush toilets, removal of manual scavenging,
proper disposal of solid and liquid wastes, bring behavioral changes among people, enhance
awareness about sanitation, facilitating the participation of private sectors towards cleanliness
facilities. First nine nominated people by the PM of this abhiyan are Salman Khan, Anil Ambani,
Kamal Hassan, comedian Kapil Sharma, Priyanka Chopra, Baba Ramdev, Sachin Tendulkar, Shashi
Tharoor and team of Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chasmah ( a most famous TV series). Indian film
actor Aamir Khan was invited to come on the date of launching of the mission. There are
various brand ambassadors who have been chosen by the PM to initiate and promote the abhiyan of
Swachh Bharat in various fields. He had also nominated some other people (Akhilesh Yadav, Swami
Rambhadracharya, Mohammad Kaif, Manoj Tiwari, Deviprasad Dwivedi, Manu Sharma, Kailash
Kher, Raju Srivastava, Suresh Raina) on 8th of November in 2014 and (Sourav Ganguly, Kiran Bedi,

CONCLUSION

India’s drive towards cleanliness has been one of the largest such campaigns in the
world that not only focuses on promoting sanitation but also engaging citizens as active
participants. The healthy target of eliminating open defecation has been a very targeted
approach under this scheme. The focus of the program has been emphasized more on the
outcomes rather than the quantifiable outcomes. And finally, with the success of this scheme,
it has been madeclear that the scheme has been truly a game-changer in the arena of sanitation
and hygiene.

CHAPTER 2: FACILATITING 100% DIGITAL TRANSACTION

INTRODUCTION

CASHLESS transactions are not new to India. There are various ways for cashless
transactions available to customers as per their needs. It can be done through cards like debit
card, credit cards, via NEFT/RTGS or digital wallets. Various applications like Paytm, Phone
pe etc. applications can be used for cashless transactions on smart phones.

On 8th November 2016, the government of India, took a historical measure of social
engineering called Demonetization. Two major denomination notes, Rs. 1000 and Rs. 500
which made around 86% of total currencies in India, were demonetized with immediate effect.
Government placed restrictions on the convertibility of domestic money and bank deposits.
For a period extending to over 2 months, there was a shortage of cash in the country. People
were in search of easier, faster and cash equivalent measure of payment. This shortage of cash
period led to opening new era of digital currencies in India. Many market players entered in
digital payment and developed apps to take advantage of new opportunities and made huge
profits. The usage of mobile wallets experienced massive growth in users. One of the
companies that bagged the opportunity was UPI. The extensive marketing strategy of the
company worked and it reached

CONCLUSION
Despite all the claims of government, the most preferred mode of payments remain
cash & cards on an average. Although usage digital payments has increased manifolds by the
people in all age groups, but more awareness needs to be spread especially in field of UPI.
The frequency of digital payments is highest in the age groups of 20-35 and least in above 40.
People are although aware of UPI but are not as inclined towards it as they are to mobile
wallets and debit/credit cards. The new technology faces challenges that need to be addressed
and taken care of in order to promote it in future. In case of UPI the front-end platform is to
be designed by the banks. If banks fail to work effectively on this then consumer adoption of
UPI will be difficult more likely because private mobile firms have sincerely invested in
creating merchant network to ensure smooth and failure free payment process. Moreover,
they have also included cashbacks and discounts to attract customers at least but for a trial
usage.

CHAPTER 3: PARKING AREA MARKINGS

INTRODUCTION
Parking is the act of stopping and disengaging a vehicle and leaving it unoccupied.
Parking on one or both sides of a road is often permitted, though sometimes with restrictions.
Some buildings have parking facilities for use of the buildings' users. Countries and local
governments have rules for design and use of parking spaces. In this case, we’re talking
about car parking. You can park your car at a parking space. These parking spaces can be on
several locations: In a parking lot, a parking garage, on the side of the street, and so on. In
every city and on every street, there are rules for parking. For example, often you are allowed
to park your car on the side of the street, but sometimes you have to pay for parking, are only
allowed to park for a short period of time or are not allowed to park at all. These rules are
called parking restrictions.

Parking spaces are very important to cities. A city must have enough parking
spaces to provide their residents and their visitors a place to park their car. Since cars are a
main factor in transportation, a city must meet the needs of the drivers. If people can’t find a
place to park, or if they have to pay too much for parking, these people probably won’t come
back to your city to do some more shopping, dining or spending money in any other way.
Also, residents must have enough place to park their car nearby their house and workplace.

The number of vehicles on the campus ground has been increasing at an alarming
speed. This has created a high demand for a parking space on the campus ground. Notably,
the campus requires spacious parking for the ever-increasing number of automobiles on the
compound. In addition, the existing parking yard should be well marked to ensure that car
owners park their cars neatly without overlapping. This has been a great problem where some
car owners park their automobiles in two parking spots. An improvement in the traffic
circulation will be appreciated by various stakeholders on the campus. They include students
and staff at the campus. An improvement in the parking on campus will also enhance the
image of the campus. A parking improvement will enhance parking efficiency at the campus.
This paper will recommend an improvement of parking on the campus, considering the
current situation on the campus.

CONCLUSION
College focuses on preventing any kind of hustle that will be caused by the vehicles.
Students must learn appropriate ways to park and there must be proper follow up of rules and
regulations while parking the vehicle. By marking of parking areas, it will be easy for the
people to park the vehicles in the campus so that there won’t be any kind of accident or
confusion. The design of parking areas ensures the vehicles are marked in proper areas and
there is suitable space provided for the parking of vehicles.
