Introduction

Criminology is the study of criminal justice and law enforcement. The four-
year Bachelor of Science in Criminology program includes the general education
courses required by CHED, as well as courses relevant to the field of study and
practical. Students will learn about criminal behavior theories, policies, practices,
and regulations, as well as techniques for dealing with such aberrant behavior.
The ultimate objective of criminology students is to comprehend the function and
role of law as well as its limitations in dealing with crime issues and to develop
potential solutions to stop these from occurring in the future.

As required by CHED, criminology students participate in an on-the-job

training program that educates them about their current jobs and potential future
careers. Through OJT, students gained to advance future employment value and
for them to have new potential in their prospective careers. They earn their
respect and build lasting affiliations between student trainees and their superiors
by making learning possible. During the OJT of Criminology Interns, they are
allowed to observe and assist, but not to perform confidential and actual
operations that may compromise their safety. Interns are expected to keep the
information learned during the practicum secret.

OJT's objective is to provide guidance and practice opportunities so that a

novice learner can acquire the knowledge, abilities, and competencies necessary
to carry out the tasks related to his or her job role.
