along with their meanings.

The selected phraseological units have a general cultural, educational and philosophical nature,
foreign proverbs and sayings are given with their literal translations. An alphabetical index of
Ukrainian proverbs is provided. For scholars, students, teachers, translators, and anyone interested in
folk wisdom.
